Deliver the Difference is a nonprofit organization that is located throughout Central Florida and is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through life skills and nutrition. They have organized the distribution of over 400,000 meals in 2015 and we are proud supporters of this great cause. Each of our offices kicked off their own food drive and collected items to donate.
At LassiterWare’s 2015 Annual Day of Discovery, LassiterWare Cares teamed up again with Deliver the Difference to fund a project out at Mission Inn, located in Howey-in-the-Hills. Every single LassiterWare employee was in attendance and participated in packing over 25,000 meals for distribution throughout the areas we serve in Florida and South Carolina flood victims.
Red Nose Day, run by Comic Relief, is a campaign dedicated to raising money by having fun and making people laugh. Money raised is spent to help lift children and young people out of poverty in the U.S. and some of the poorest communities in the world.
LassiterWare bought 100 Red Noses, enough for each employee, but had an idea for LassiterWare Cares to help contribute even more to this great cause. Each employee was offered a Red Nose for 5 dollars. All proceeds went in support of Red Nose Day. Each office was in full participation.
Safe Animal Shelter is a nonprofit “no-kill” shelter located in the Jacksonville area. Their mission provides a safe haven for lost, abandoned, mistreated and unwanted cats and dogs before finding a permanent home for them. The Jacksonville LWC team organized an office wide collection for much needed supplies. Donations were collected from all the offices at our 2015 Annual Day of Discovery.
The LassiterWare Cares Day of Service is a company wide event. Each office has their choice of who they would like to help and whether they would like donate their time, make a monetary donation (Provided by LWC & LassiterWare) or both!
2016 – For our Jacksonville team, the Ronald McDonald House is dear to their hearts and they decided to spend their day helping this organization in any way they could by choosing both options! From preparing and serving lunch, to helping out with the everyday kitchen chores – the Jacksonville crew helped feed approximately 40 guests staying at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville. At the end of the day, they presented the foundation with a $500 check as a thank you for the amazing work being done for the community. Way to go Team Jacksonville!
