LassiterWare Cares | Assisting with Hurricane Relief Efforts

This is the LassiterWare Cares Mission and it has certainly been carried out over the past few weeks. With Hurricane Irma devastating the Caribbean Islands, Puerto Rico and the State of Florida, LassiterWare Cares has helped to make a difference in the lives of others in need. Not only did LassiterWare Cares reach out to LassiterWare employees in need, the 501(c)(3) organization also provided donations to the following charities in the communities where LassiterWare serves:
Jacksonville
Safe Animal Shelter
Safe Animal Shelter is a 501 (c)(3) organization which receives no government funding. All services provided in the community are funded by individual and business donations, grants from charitable foundations, pet adoption fees, and fundraising activities held throughout each year.
The shelter is temporarily closed due to damage from Hurricane Irma.
Leesburg
Deliver the Difference
Deliver the Difference is a 501(c)3 organization as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service. LassiterWare Cares helped sponsor a FoodParty at the Liberty Baptist Church in Tavares, Florida on Saturday, September 30, 2017. Five LassiterWare employees + spouses and friends helped to package 60,480 of Tomato Basil Pasta Meals. Packaged meals will be distributed to Caribbean Islands, Puerto Rico and throughout the State of Florida to people impacted by Hurricane Irma.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida
In times of disaster Second Harvest Food Bank (and its network of feeding partners) represents a vital emergency food supply for the community. Every $10 donated can provide 40 meals to Hurricane Irma victims.

United Way of Marion County strives to be the leader in identifying critical human care needs, finding solutions, maximizing resources and delivering results. They are joining forces with Marion Disaster Recovery Network, Inc.
Tampa
Lee Elementary School Relief Fund
The Hillsborough Education Foundation has established a fund to help students at Lee Elementary School, which caught fire Tuesday, Sept. 12, resulting from Hurricane Irma. Tax-deductible donations will go toward the replenishment of books, supplies and other essential items needed for the school’s 329 students and 25 teachers impacted by the fire.
